Woman Sends Nude Photos to Ex-Lover's Wife, Neighbors

Is sending nude photos a crime? Apparently it's not in Texas under certain circumstances. A jilted lover sent nude photos of her ex to his wife and neighbors. It may have been her own special sort of revenge.

The photos were of the married man smiling while exposing himself to the camera. The letters were addressed to a "Ms." with a return address in Pasadena, Texas.

The photos contained a vulgar writing on the back. It was a "sexually suggestive caption," according to KPRC-TV.

The women who received the photos were shocked, and some were a bit frightened. Others were worried that their children may have accidentally seen the suggestive picture.

Police contacted the ex-lover and the married man. The man admitted he was the one in the photos, and pointed the finger at his ex. Authorities called the ex-lover, who agreed to stop sending the photos.

Officials say that there was no crime committed. The woman is not expected to be charged.

After all, sending nude photos isn't exactly a crime by itself. If it was, adult magazines like Playboy would be out of business. However, there are times when it is against the law.

Sending your nude photos to solicit sexual acts from minors is a crime. It is also a crime to send naked pictures of children. That would likely amount to child pornography

And if you send raunchy photos of someone else, you may be slapped with a civil lawsuit. You may be invading someone else's privacy.

And that's precisely why the ex-lover who sent the nude photos might end up paying damages. The married man says he's since reconciled with his wife. He also says he plans to file a lawsuit against the spurned woman. Apparently, she also called his former employer and accused him of stealing on the job. He was terminated. Lying and sending nude photos may not be a crime, but it can still cost you.
