Those of you who are sick of Charlie Sheen should click on one of the posts below.
And those of you who are deriving pleasure from Hollywood's latest and greatest public meltdown? Well, you should just pick up a book.
Just kidding. Put the book back and read on--Chuck Lorre has responded to the Charlie Sheen lawsuit, and bless his heart, he's just concerned about Sheen's health.
By now you should all know that the Charlie Sheen lawsuit is an intriguing mix of conspiracy theory and hatred of Chuck Lorre. Guess what? Lorre doesn't disagree with this assessment.
Speaking through his lawyer, Chuck Lorre deemed the lawsuit "recklessly false and unwarranted." He also feels that it is some sort of "fantasy 'lottery pay-day' for Sheen, reports New York Magazine. There was no explanation as to what this actually means.
Despite claiming that the suit is full of lies, Lorre's attorney didn't mention a countersuit, or even allege defamation. Of course, to prove defamation, Chuck Lorre must demonstrate that Charlie Sheen's statements are false. Seeing as how the truth behind the anti-Lorre allegations is already at issue in the filed lawsuit, chances are that Lorre will wait until an arbitrator or jury rules. At that point he may sue Charlie Sheen for defaming him.
Anyway, as usual, Sheen didn't waste any time firing back at Lorre, notes the magazine. He took to Twitter, calling Chuck Lorre and Warner Brothers "corporate Trolls." He even added some of his strangely beloved military jargon to the tweet.
