Michael Lohan, Lindsay Lohan's Dad, Arrested for Domestic Violence

Another Lohan Arrested? For once, bad girl Lindsay Lohan isn't to blame this time.

Still, her estranged father Michael Lohan's arrest is making splashy headlines just the same.

Michael Lohan was arrested Monday night under suspicion of domestic violence, according to a Los Angeles police report and the Los Angeles Times

Michael Lohan, 50, has repeatedly shown up at many of his daughter's court appearances. This time, Lindsay Lohan's Dad will have to do the explaining.

He was charged with three felonies related to the domestic incident including preventing the report of a victimization, false imprisonment, and inflicting corporal injury on a cohabitant, the Times reports.

Michael Lohan's girlfriend (who is not named) filed a report with the L.A. County Sheriff's Department shortly before 10 p.m., claiming an argument between the couple had become physical. She had some visible marks from the alleged fight, authorities said, KTLA reports.

Domestic violence is any abusive, violent, coercive, forceful, or threatening act or word inflicted by one member of a family or household on another.

Michael Lohan reportedly has a history of arrests in New York over allegations of harassment from ex-girlfriends, KABC-TV reports. If those reports prove true and/or involve any other kind of domestic violence, Michael Lohan may face more severe punishment for these new charges.

Lohan was taken to Cedar-Sinai Medical Center for a medical condition unrelated to the alleged attack. His bail will be set at $200,000, according to the sheriff's department, the Times reports.

Lindsay Lohan's Dad is estranged from his famous daughter, but has showed up in court several times, saying he wanted to support Lindsay through her legal woes. He is set to appear on the reality TV show "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew." Maybe Dr. Drew can help at least one of member of the Lohan clan.
