Rapper Rick Ross has been sued by a neighbor. According to the suit, Rick Ross' pitbull attacked the neighbor's dog.

The neighbor's suit claims that three pitbulls ran away from Ross' home in Atlanta. They then somehow got into her home and attacked her dog, Banks, according to celebrity gossip source TMZ.

Banks was a small Yorkshire Terrier, reports TMZ.

The tiny dog suffered from 3 bite wounds on his back and a large bite wound on his neck, according to the court documents obtained by TMZ. Officials responded to the attack but by the time they got there and freed the little dog, it was too late.

The neighbor had to euthanize her beloved pet, TMZ reports.

Ross was cited by investigators after the event, but the neighbor isn't satisfied. Her lawsuit is demanding $15,000 from the rapper. The court documents allege losses from the death of her dog, punitive damages, loss of consortium, loss of wages and negligence.

And, the neighbor is especially upset because Ross never apologized for the incident, reports TMZ.

Depending on the laws of the state, a pet owner may be entitled to damages stemming from their pet's death. The amount of damages can be calculated as to the cost of the pet, such as how much was spent on purchasing the pet and registering the pet if it is a purebred. If the owner spent money on additional veterinary bills due to the attack, they may be able to recover those damages as well. And, depending on the state, the owner can recover for loss of companionship, mental anguish and punitive damages.

Rick Ross, sued by his neighbor, should take a page in humility. Or, at least apologize for the incident - after all, it was Rick Ross' pitbull that caused the death of Banks.
