If you take 50 Shades of Grey and replace the impossibly handsome Christian Grey with a 46-year old Marine staff sergeant, replace an expansive Seattle condo with a rundown home, and replace endless pages of foreplay with actual torture, then you'll get an idea of how 22-year-old Brittany Killgore allegedly died.

Killgore's nude body was found last April dumped along a rural road.

Three defendants are now answering for her murder and it's being alleged that the defendants imposed their violent sex fantasy on the unwilling Killgore, eventually killing her, reports the North County Times.

Marine Staff Sgt. Louis Perez, 46, Dorothy Maraglino, 37, and Jessica Lynn Lopez, 25, are accused of living a kinky lifestyle in a small suburban home. Similar to 50 Shades of Grey, the trio was reportedly turned on by domination, submission, and sadomasochism, reports the Times.

Perez was allegedly the ringleader in the house and referred to himself as "Lord & Master, Dom & Daddy of My house," reports the Times. Inside the home, investigators found a "sex dungeon" containing "sex toys, tools and apparatuses."

Perez reportedly met Killgore for dinner and it's believed that he brought the young woman back to his house to engage in some real life 50 Shades of Grey action complete with a contract. However, Killgore is believed to have resisted the sexual role playing which prosecutors believe may have led to her murder.

It's not clear exactly how Killgore died but investigators believe that she was killed in Perez's home and that the kinky sex played a role, reports the Times.

The three defendants all face possible life imprisonment and each has pleaded not guilty to the murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy charges. Police were able to tie the trio to Killgore's death when they found one of the defendants, Lopez, dazed and bloody in front of a motel room after she had attempted suicide. Lopez allegedly left a suicide note confessing to the real-life 50 Shades of Grey murder.
