Manhattan Asst. Attorney General Moonlighting as a Dominatrix?

If you haven't noticed, a lot of attorneys--even the employed--are turning to the realm of sexual pleasure in this time of economic uncertainty.

In an interesting twist, the newest alleged member of the legal sex trade is Alisha Smith, an assistant New York Attorney General. She is known for her involvement in a number of securities fraud cases, including a $5 billion settlement from Bank of America.

She's also apparently a dominatrix.

Outted by the New York Post, Alisha Smith, also known as Alisha Park, is said to perform at S&M and other fetish events for pay. The initiated can find her in skimpy outfits and whipping the willing.

There's no word yet as to whether she makes them sign a form of consent.

Since her after-hours activities were exposed, the Post reports that Smith has been suspended without pay pending an internal investigation.

Lest you think the current New York Attorney General is a prude, or merely prefers to remain in control, the suspension is reportedly the result of an internal employment policy.

The office requires employees to receive prior approval before engaging in "outside pursuits" that may net them more than $1,000.

While the legal media focuses on her penchant for latex and rubber, this blogger finds more interesting Smith's relationship with Jade Vixen. A fellow dominatrix, Vixen can count three deaths amongst her former "boyfriends," according to the Post.

One was found dead in her highly-accessorized attic; one was shot by a former client; and that former client shot himself.

This doesn't seem to bother Alisha Smith, but it may be cause for some concern.
