Top 3 Cool Legal Jobs This Week: Magic, Money, and Pizza

You can't ask for much more than having fun, getting paid, and maybe grabbing a decent slice of pizza on the side. This week's cool legal jobs hit all three of the above bases.

As part of our affiliate relationship with Indeed, we've rounded up some of the most exciting legal jobs we could find, including a spot with a major sports team, one at the cutting edge of banking, and one with, well, Papa John's.

1. Associate Counsel, Orlando Magic

Want to get into sports law? Already in sports law? Just a major Magic fan? Either way, this could be the perfect job for you. As associate counsel for the Orlando Magic, you'd negotiate and draft agreements, help interpret and manage the Magic's business contracts, handle litigation, and ensure compliance with NBA rules.

A great jump shot isn't required, but this NBA team is looking for a minimum of three years legal experience. Past work in the sports field isn't required, but is preferred.

2. Assistant General Counsel, Digital Banking Attorney, Citi

If you're like me, you probably can't remember the last time you went into a brick-and-mortar bank. With ATMs and online banking, the days of knowing your local bank teller seem to be behind us.

As a digital banking attorney with Citi, you'll help deal with the implications of this transition. Working with the legal team in the company's global consumer bank division, you'll focus on the use of emerging technology in the banking industry. This includes advising on digital products, providing legal support for digital interaction, advising on relevant regulatory matters.

3. Associate Counsel, Papa John's

Alright, Papa John's isn't the best pizza around, but it sure beats Domino's. Plus, it comes with those tasty banana peppers on the side. But we digress.

If you take this gig at PJ's, you'll be spending less time thinking about toppings and more time handling the company's complex legal affairs. As associate counsel, you'll be responsible for dealing with contract, IP, and franchising issues, providing litigation support, and managing other legal matters. The pizza is just an added bonus.
