Yeezy 4 Prez: Kanye to Run in 2020

Kanye West took to MTV's least-watched Video Music Awards in history to announce his candidacy for President of the United States in 2020. The man who current President Barack Obama has twice referred to as a "jackass" got the White House's attention with Press Secretary Josh Earnest eager to see the rapper's possible campaign slogans.

We know Yeezy is an avid reader and fan of Legal Grounds, so we decided to give him some advice on rocking the vote in 5 years.

"I'm Not No Politician, Bruh."

Well, yeah. But that didn't stop Donald Trump, did it? And as his poll numbers have shown, Americans have been clamoring for an outsider candidate, someone who can whip the Beltway into shape. West staked his claim as being above the two-party system in his announcement on Monday -- we'll see if he can stick to his guns.

"I'll Fight ... for You ... This Time."

Yeezus has a history of fighting -- paparazzo in the airport, online currency companies, YouTube, you name it. And now he's gonna take on the Washington fat cats for you, the little man.

"Jesus Walks"

The U.S. is still a majority Christian nation, and West can appeal to Catholics and Evangelicals alike with lyrics like these:

God show me the way because the Devil's tryin' to break me down
(Jesus Walks with me)
The only thing that I pray is that my feet don't fail me now (I want Jesus)
(Jesus Walks)
And I don't think there is nothing I can do now to right my wrongs
(Jesus Walks with me)
I want to talk to God, but I'm afraid because we ain't spoke in so long
(I want Jesus)

We still have a year of watching Hillary, The Donald, and whoever the Republicans throw up there battle it out for the 2016 presidency, and then four more years until we can think about voting Mr. West into the White House. Yeezy 4 President? I'll believe it as soon as I see Yeezus's birth certificate.
