Welcome to another post from our "Meet the FindLaw Team" series. "Meet the FindLaw Team" provides insight into the day-to-day lives of our colleagues. Today we feature FindLaw Interactive Designer Eric Kelsey. Get to know Eric by reading about his experiences at FindLaw below.
What is your current title?
When did you join the FindLaw team / how did you get here?
I joined FindLaw in May of 2008. I began as a Design Intern after finishing school with a degree in Graphic Design and a degree in Web Design/Multimedia. After completing my internship, I was brought on at FindLaw as an Interactive Designer. My experience in addition to my schooling includes working as a Graphic Design Specialist for Dakota County Technical College.
What interests you most about lawyer marketing or your functional area?
An Interactive Designer creates the design of websites as well as motion and interactivity. I enjoy utilizing the power of a technical skill, such as programming, to display information in a unique way that provides an engaging user experience.
What activities does your work day typically involve?
A typical day for me may consist of creating an interactive animation or a design prototype. In addition to my core daily work, I have opportunities to work on special projects such as creating efficiencies to improve workflow, being involved in discussions around which technologies to leverage to create animated/interactive content that is cutting edge and innovative, and participating in the training and development of myself and others.
What are your interests outside of FindLaw?
In my spare time I am usually at the gym, spending time with family and friends, taking photos, or reading.
