Welcome to another post from our "Meet the FindLaw Team" series. "Meet the FindLaw Team" provides insight into the day-to-day lives of our colleagues. Today we feature FindLaw Project Manager Shannon Van Schoonhoven. Get to know Shannon by reading about her experiences at FindLaw below.
What is your current title?
I am a Project Manager.
When did you join the FindLaw team and how did you get here?
I joined FindLaw in October of 2011. I came from a smaller health promotion company where I was a client service coordinator implementing client wellness programs including online health assessments and health education programs.
What interests you most about lawyer marketing or your functional area?
As a Project Manager I really enjoy working with clients and being their main point of contact during the development of their project. I also enjoy that I work with so many cross functional teams and have learned so much more about lawyer marketing by working closely with them.
What activities does your work day typically involve?
Every day as a Project Manager is different. There is never a dull moment and there is always something to do. Clients really rely on us to make sure the project stays on track and that everything goes smoothly. Almost every day I'll have at least one scheduled conference call with a client. During these calls I interview clients about their area of practice and discover what is unique about them and their firm. A large part of my day is spent sending content and designs to clients for review, answering their questions and relaying information back to my team. I love that I'm involved in every facet of the fulfillment of a client's project.
What are your interests outside of FindLaw?
Outside of FindLaw I enjoy spending time with my two daughters, Mya and Alexa. We love going sledding and playing in the park!
