Kris Humphries Denies Herpes in Sexual Battery Lawsuit
Kris Humphries did exist before Kim Kardashian. One young woman in California can attest to that claiming that the Brooklyn Nets power forward infected her with herpes.
Shortly before meeting Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries allegedly had a short-lived relationship with a woman he met at a Sunset Strip nightclub.
The relationship had all the makings of a love story including sharing jokes and stories about "intimate experiences" before engaging in unprotected sex, reports the New York Daily News. The only thing preventing this story from become a regular rom-com was the claim that the woman discovered she had herpes four or five days after hooking up with Kris Humphries.
The woman, Kayla Goldberg, claims that she didn't have herpes before meeting Kris Humphries and is suing him for sexual battery for allegedly giving her the incurable STD, reports the Daily News. In her lawsuit, Goldberg somehow manages to introduce an allusion to Humphries describing her as being "cuter" than another female friend -- which is clearly a reference to Kim Kardashian. How this is relevant to the lawsuit, is still to be determined.
As for the merits of the lawsuit, it will be interesting to see how a judge and jury views a sexual battery claim involving consensual intercourse, but with nonconsensual passing of a STD. Arguments that favor sexual battery are that the woman allegedly got infected with a painful, life-long disease and that Humphries never warned her.

For his part, Kris Humphries' reps have come out and said that he does not have herpes. If this is true, Kayla Goldberg may have to search her rolodex to find another lover to blame.
