Chad Johnson Refuses to Sign Evelyn Lozada's Divorce Papers

Chad Johnson is reportedly refusing to sign divorce papers drawn up by his wife Evelyn Lozada.

The former NFL wide receiver is pulling out all the stops to save his marriage with Lozada. Not only is he holding on to the divorce papers and refusing to sign them, he also had Lozada's face tattooed onto his leg, reports Fox News.

While having your face tattooed on a man's leg may be a dream come true for many women, this apparently is not the case with Evelyn Lozada as she reportedly wants to divorce Chad Johnson as quickly as possible.

Not that long ago, the marriage of Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada seemed to be the perfect match for a reality television couple. Lozada had made a name for herself on VH1's "Basketball Wives" despite never being married to a basketball player. And Chad Johnson once changed his name to "Chad Ochocinco" and appeared in a string of horrible reality shows.

However, this match made in reality TV heaven quickly derailed last month when Lozada reportedly found a receipt for a box of condoms in their car. The condoms were apparently not used on Lozada, and an argument ensued. During the argument, Lozada alleged that Johnson headbutted her, and Johnson countered that Lozada hit him.

It's not clear if Evelyn Lozada is seeking to divorce Chad Johnson because of the alleged domestic assault or the reported condom dispute, but she seems set on divorcing. And despite Johnson refusing to sign the divorce documents, the divorce will likely move forward if Lozada does not change her mind.

In general, you don't need the other party's consent to a divorce. In fact, the disagreement over whether to divorce can be viewed as an "irreconcilable difference" in and of itself.

So the longer Chad Johnson holds out on signing the divorce papers, he may actually be supporting Evelyn Lozada's request for a divorce.
