Block on Trump's Asylum Ban Upheld by Supreme Court
Things seem to have become "pretty wild" for Alexis Neiers, the young reality TV star who was sentenced to six months jail time for her alleged role in the celebrity "Bling Ring" case.
Alexis Neiers, 18, who appears in the E! reality TV show "Pretty Wild" about teen Hollywood socialites, pleaded no contest to her part in burglarizing the home of the star of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Lord of the Rings," Orlando Bloom, Reuters reports.
Looks like Neiers may be getting a dose of reality. She was sentenced to six months jail time and three years formal probation.
Under California law, a no contest plea to a charge of burglary has the same effect as an admission of guilt. Bloom was expected to testify against Neiers if the case had gone to a full trial.
Neiers' attorney, Jeffery K. Rubenstein, said Bloom's expected testimony was a factor in Neiers' plea.
Several expensive items were taken from Bloom's home, including two watches.
As previously discussed, a group of celeb-obsessed teen robbers are allegedly responsible for robbing the homes of Paris Hilton, Megan Fox, Lindsay Lohan, Orlando Bloom, Ashley Tisdale, Rachel Bilson and Audrina Patridge.
The Hollywood Hills burglars, mostly 18 and 19 year-olds, are known as the "Bling Ring."
According to investigators, the teenagers used celebrity gossip sites and other Web-based tools to track the whereabouts of their victims -- a roster of young Hollywood celebs.
Five other people alleged to be part of the ring are awaiting possible trial for targeting and breaking into the homes of celebrities.
In addition, Neiers may be held responsible for part of up to $680,000 in restitution that could be ordered to be paid in the case. Her share may also be deemed minimal.
On May 25, a preliminary hearing for the remaining defendants is scheduled.
