Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan may land in jail if in fact she has violated the terms of her probation.

As a part of her probation for driving while intoxicated, a judge ordered Lindsay Lohan to attend alcohol education classes every 7 days, however she may not have fulfilled that requirement, the New York Daily News reports.

After she was busted for a DUI last year, Judge Marsha Revel warned Lohan that she could land herself in jail if she failed to comply with the probation terms.

Although it looks like Lohan may have found a small loophole, she may still be bound for jail for violating terms of probation.

The judge ordered the actress to report to alcohol education classes once a week, but under state law the school is only required to inform the judge if a student is absent for 21 days. Apparently, Lohan waited until the 21st day to show up for class.

If that is the case, Lohan may well have violated the judge's orders.

In general, offenders who are put on probation are typically required to adhere to a number of "conditions of probation," including:

  • Obey all laws (even petty laws like jaywalking have been known to land a probationer back in jail).
  • Abide by any court orders, such as an order to pay a fine or restitution.
  • Report regularly to the probation officer.
  • Report any change of employment or address to the probation officer.
  • Abstain from the excessive use of alcohol or the use of any drugs.
  • Submit to regular alcohol or drug testing.
  • Refrain from travel outside of the jurisdiction without prior permission of the probation officer.
  • Avoid certain people and places.

Lohan's next scheduled court date is May 20.
