For every lawsuit there typically is a countersuit. At least when Paris Hilton is involved.

The latest headline from the heiress: Paris Hilton Files Hair Extension Countersuit. Yes, the suit that accused Miss. Hilton of wearing the wrong hair extensions and seeking $35 million in damages is now getting a response from Paris's legal team on the hairy situation.

In addition to the whole wrong hair extension issue, Hairtech International sued Paris for breach of contract and failing to appear at important promotional events. To her credit, Paris was in jail at the time. Paris' countersuit alleges fraud, breach of contract, and inappropriately trading in on the famous Hilton name.

Paris seeks a paltry $3 million in damages against the hair extension company. "Hairtech sought to capitalize on Ms. Hilton's brand and fame by offering to pay 'substantial guaranteed royalties' in exchange for the right to associate Ms. Hilton's brand with their line of hair products," the suit alleges, MSNBC reports. Actually, Hilton alleges that the company failed to pay her close to $1.7 million in royalties and also accuses the company of falsifying documents.

In order to successfully prove fraud, Hilton will need to show that Hairtech intentionally deceived her during her time working with the company. The fact that there is a countersuit, however, does not negate any potential liability Hilton may have under the original suit filed by Hairtech.

Never one to lose a chance to boost her ego, Hilton also included a laundry list of compliments that Hairtech's Chris Volek showered her with on various occasions. It is unclear which claim the compliments are supposed to bolster.
