Could CBS Fire Charlie Sheen for his Porn Star Drug Parties?

Can they? Probably not. Would they? Heck no.

By now just about everyone assumes that Charlie Sheen has, well let's say, vices. For example, drugs and "escorts." And as long as he remains unchecked he will continue to pursue these vices, which may cause him to continue to get in trouble. But somewhat miraculously he continues to show up on the set of Two and a Half Men on time and delievers his lines well enough for the show to maintain it's No. 1 rating and make CBS millions of dollars.

Well, that is until now. Charlie Sheen has checked into rehab and the hit show has gone on hiatus.

Guess it wasn't a laughing attack, after all. After all, Sheen wasn't hospitalized due to having too much fun with bricks of cocaine and porn starts, it was actually because Sheen laughed too hard while watching television, Reuters reported. See, nothing to worry about, move along here. (OK, I might have to be hospitalized with my own case of excessive laughter after reading that.)

E! Online claims to have spoken with an anonymous member of Sheen's top CBS superiors, who said as much. "What can we do? He shows up to work, on time. He's polite, and he makes us hundreds of millions of dollars." More specifically, Sheen makes over $1 million an episode, the show averages 14.7 million viewers, is the top comedy on TV and brings in $200,000 per advertising spot.

Sheen can't be fired for breaking his contract just for making eyebrow raising headlines. He doesn't have a morals clause in his contract, which are rare in TV, EW reports.

So where do we go from here? "The people who care most about Charlie -- his family, his friends, his employer -- at some point need to stick together and say enough is enough. But at the end of the day, only Charlie Sheen can take action and address whatever haunts him," said William C. Moyers, a vice president of an addiction treatment center.

Perhaps his family and friends convinced Charlie Sheen that he could eventually get fired (or die) if he didn't check into rehab.
