Armie Hammer's Mugshot: Joins Snoop, Willie Nelson with TX Pot Bust

Add actor Armie Hammer's mugshot to the ever-growing collection of Hollywood elites who've been busted for pot in a particular West Texas town.

Armie Hammer, 25, who stars in the film "J. Edgar" and played the Winklevoss twins in "The Social Network," was arrested in connection with marijuana possession at a border control checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas, E! News reports. That's the same town where Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson were recently busted for pot.

Hammer hasn't said a word publicly about having to spend a night in a Texas jail. But he is dishing about his dashing, clean-cut mugshot:

"What you didn't see is there was a make-up crew there, really, to do the whole thing," Hammer said jokingly on "Access Hollywood." (You can see Armie Hammer's mugshot at TMZ's website.) "I got eight hours of sleep that night. I was fresh-faced. ... It definitely was not 5:45 in the morning."

It's not clear what time Hammer was arrested that fateful day in November. But like Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson, and others before him, Hammer had to stop at the Sierra Blanca checkpoint on Interstate 10, not far from the Mexican border.

That's where a drug-sniffing police dog got wind of some incriminating aromas emanating from "The Social Network" star's car. A search revealed a small amount of marijuana, along with a medical pot brownie and three pot cookies, E! News reports.

Hammer paid a $1,000 fine and was released without further prosecution, because he was carrying just 0.02 ounces of weed. Four ounces is the threshold for a felony charge in Texas, according to E! News.

Even if Hammer had been carrying a medical marijuana prescription, that likely wouldn't have made a difference. Texas laws make no exceptions for medical marijuana, and neither do federal laws.

Armie Hammer's mugshot will soon be plastered everywhere, but not because of his pot arrest. He's starring as the prince in the new Snow White movie, "Mirror Mirror."
