Disgruntled former clients of celebrity wedding planner David Tutera have filed a lawsuit claiming he failed to deliver on his services. Tutera is famous for being the star of the WE wedding reality show My Fair Wedding.

He also boasts a celebrity clientele list including Elton John and Jennifer Lopez, the New York Daily News reports.

The couple, Hector Santana and Wendylee Perez, paid Tutera $15,000 for his services. Santana and Perez were not featured on Tutera's television show.

They claim that their fee was meant to cover "anything and everything that is needed to make the wedding happen."

Instead of a dream wedding, their nuptials turned into a nightmare. The cost of their Dominican Republic wedding ballooned out of proportion from $10,000 to $30,000.

Tutera also failed to provide invitations, flowers, a DJ, or a wedding cake.

To make matters worse, the couple alleges that Tutera failed to even appear for their event in November 2010. He said he had to visit a sick relative in the hospital.

The couple now claims that Tutera had a taping of his reality show that he needed to go to.

The wording of the contract will likely determine the outcome of the case. Santana and Perez probably inked a deal with Tutera for his wedding planning services. If the contract explicitly states he will be present during the event, or that he will provide items he failed to give, he may be on the hook.

David Tutera's newest lawsuit isn't the first for the My Fair Wedding star. He previously settled another claim from a bride over a pricy $300,000 Singapore wedding. That was resolved out of court. Will this suit also end with a settlement? That remains to be seen.
