Rhonda Hollander, 47, is a female traffic magistrate and attorney from Florida.
She also did something most legally-trained professionals would not do: take pictures of men at men's room urinal.
Okay, that should be clarified. Hollander did something most people, regardless of their legal training, would probably never do.
Apparently, Hollander was staking out the urinal area in a public restroom inside the West Regional Courthouse. One of the men who was about to urinate saw that Hollander was standing next to him, taking photographs of him relieving himself, reports the Broward-Palm Beach New Times.
Just a little bizarre. Also bizarre is that she took more pictures, including pictures of another man entering the restroom, according to the New Times.
Police were called, and she was found in the judge's chambers, reports the New Times.
Then, when the police tried to get her to hand over the photos, Hollander allegedly told the police that since she was taking pictures inside a public restroom, she wasn't breaking any laws since it was also in a public building.
As someone who went to law school, shouldn't three words be rushing to her mind? How about "invasion of privacy"?
Though, Hollander probably wouldn't have gotten off the hook that easily anyway. Apparently, after she refused to hand over the camera, Hollander started taking pictures of the cop - who subsequently pointed a finger at her face and told her to stop. Hollander then tried to bite his finger.
A biting traffic magistrate who likes to take pictures of men in urinals. What lucky traffic violator is going to end up in Rhonda Hollander's court? Hollander has been charged with resisting an officer, assault, and obstructing with violence. She was released on a $700 bond, reports the New Times.
