Block on Trump's Asylum Ban Upheld by Supreme Court
With Mothers Day right around the corner, some lawyers may be scrambling for last minute gifts, or some children of lawyers might be wondering just what in the world to get their lawyer-mothers.
After all, if you’re the lawyer, you’ve probably made sure your mother wants for nothing, and if your mom is the lawyer, she probably made sure of that herself. Fortunately for you gift-buying procrastinators, below you can find a list of some of the best gifts for lawyer moms, and the mothers of lawyers, most of which you can buy online and gift the same or next day.
1. Spa Gift Cards
Have you ever had a conversation with yourself about how much you need a break? Your mother has, and she definitely deserves a day at the spa, or at least a foot massage. Make sure you put enough credit on the card for a massage, if not a massage and something else. Whether you're the lawyer or your mom is, either way, a day at the spa is sure to help ease the stress of legal work, or the compounded years of stress of raising and caring for a lawyer (remember all those nights of negotiating your bedtime?). If you're looking last minute for a massage gift card online, usually the big franchises will be your best bet, though you may want to see if a local spa offers the same first.
2. Binding Contracts (a.k.a. Coupons for Chores)
Nothing says love like a homemade coupon-book promising to do various chores that would normally get done by mom (it can look even nicer if you have a color printer). The children of lawyers can score some extra points for putting their own "terms and conditions" on the back of each coupon (like how to redeem, limitations, and certainly don't forget an expiration date).
For those who have a nice amount of disposable income, you can even consider making that a gift card for a reputable house cleaning service to do the work for you both.
3. Subscription Gift Services
There are so many different subscription services out there now, it is amazing!
Pretty much anything you can think of, from food to booze, to clothes and accessories, to streaming entertainment, toys, books, electronics, and alcohol (yes, we know it's on there twice, this is a list for gifts for lawyer-moms), can be had in a subscription service. ProTip: If your mom likes TV and movies, and doesn't have Netflix, maybe it's time you got her a subscription.
