Woman Throws Wet Tampon at McDonald's Worker: 'My Life is Ruined'

Amateur Australian model Rebecca Leigh Crimmins, a woman who threw a tampon at a McDonald's worker as a prank, says her life is ruined. That's right, the woman who threw the tampon throwing claims she is the victim here.

Crimmins, 27, threw the offending object early as some kind of joke.

But now, the Australian says that people are overreacting to the incident. She was even fired from the Noosa Surf Life Saving Club after her tampon-throwing escape.

Though if you think about it, maybe the worker didn't overreact.

If someone touched you with a wet tampon, what thoughts would run through your mind? Probably something like this:

  1. Ew.
  2. Ew.
  3. Ew.
  4. I hope that's not what I think it is...
  5. Ew, it is.

Plus, it's not like Crimmins only touched the unsuspecting McDonald's worker with the feminine hygiene product. She also dabbed the wet object on his hand before trying to throw it at his back.

Crimmins says that the tampon wasn't wet with bodily fluids. It was moistened with a lime cordial mix. This news probably made the beleaguered McDonald's clerk breathe a sigh of relief.

She says she was intoxicated at the time of the incident. Crimmins pled guilty to common assault, and was sentenced to 60 hours of community service.

The aspiring model even took to her Facebook page to defend her actions, the Huffington Post reports. "It was nothing but a prank that was in no way, shape or form intended to be assulting [sic] as the tampon was clearly green!!"

For any American woman considering throwing tampons as pranks: keep in mind that tossing objects at a person or touching them with an object can also probably be considered an assault here in the States. You wouldn't want your reputation "ruined" like Rebecca Leigh Crimmins.
