Man Runs Girlfriend Off the Road in PlayStation Dispute

Everyone knows that little boys can be violent if you take their toys away from them. Tell a little boy that he has been playing too many video games and they throw a tantrum and tell you it isn't fair and they hate you. It doesn't make it right, but it is predictable. However, that excuse doesn't carry much weight when you're 42.

Darren Suchon lived with his 36-year-old girlfriend, Colleen Frable in Palmerton, Pa. One day they had a PlayStation dispute when Frable decided to take the PlayStation 3 gaming console to work with her. So what was Suchon's reaction? Wait until she got home? Play at a friends house? Call her at her office? No, no, no. That's all far too reasonable.

Instead, Suchon got into his 1996 Porsche and allegedly chased after Frable, eventually ramming into her Chevy Impala and running her off the road. Nice. According to witnesses, once Suchon got Frable to pull over, he ran to her window and started clawing at it, screaming, "I'm going to break the f**king window," ABC reports. "...I just wanted the game. I would never hurt her. I just wanted the game," Suchon told police.

Suchon is now facing charges of reckless endangerment, simple assault, harassment, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license and disorderly conduct. He is currently behind bars on $25,000 bail, and likely in the midst of a serious video game withdrawl.

According to detective Matthew Enstrom, the couple had already been arguing over the amount of time that Suchon had been spending on video games, especially in light of the fact that he didn't have a job. Colleen Frable said that Suchon played video games all day long...well, at least when he isn't out running his girlfriend off the road and screaming at her.

It should go without saying, but the crimes that arose out of the PlayStation dispute are quite serious. We often talk here about the difference between felony, misdemeanor and infraction charges. In this case, the charges are likely to be misdemeanors, although some of them could be wobblers, charges that can either be brought as a felony or misdemeanor. No matter how Suchon is charged, this event has the potential to be life changing. It's hard enough to find a job right now for skilled workers with a clean criminal record. Imagine trying to land work with Suchon's rampage on your resume.
