Would you like fries with that?

This is America. Land of the free. Home of the brave. We're busy, and we don't have time for things like getting out of the car. Not to eat. Certainly not to shop for sex toys. It's a fast paced world.

Enter Sherri Williams, who created a sex store that has an adult drive thru window. Just like a fast food restaurant, the adult drive thru sex store, Pleasures, features a lighted sign offering vibrators, lubricants, lingerie and other risqué items. On some days there is a line of several cars waiting to order. In Alabama of all places.

"It's been doing well, and really well on nights when it's cold or rainy," said employee Toni Kennedy. "Discretion and the ease of it are big, and convenience. We're Americans. We like everything convenient."

It's a unique idea, but it didn't come easy for Williams. The state of Alabama fought her for nearly a decade on her plans to open the store. Since 1998, Alabama has had one of the country's most harsh anti-obscenity laws. The 1998 law banned the sale of products intended for sexual stimulation. Obscenity is an act, utterance, or item that tends to corrupt public morals by its indecency or lewdness. It's surprising that such a law could withstand constitutional scrutiny, but it's still on the books.

Naturally though, Williams found a loophole, Gather.com reports. The law allows for the sale of sex toys that are needed for unspecified "medical, scientific, educational, legislative, judicial, or law enforcement." That means that despite the tough anti-obscenity laws, Williams drive thru continues to serve up a steady stream of sex toys from the drive thru.
