Northwestern Students' Live Sex Toy Show: Faith Kroll Uses Saw

By Jason Beahm on March 04, 2011 5:50 AM

Students at Northwestern University received quite a surprise in psychology professor J. Michael Bailey's human sexuality class. Students watched as Faith Kroll was brought to orgasm by a machine-powered saw converted into a sex toy. The sex toy show was seen by over 100 students at the $40,000-a-year university, the Daily Mail reports.

The demonstration was conducted after class was over, and students were not required to attend. Of course that fact alone doesn't mean that the university is pleased with the situation. The demonstration was part of a guest lecture by Ken Melvoin-Berg, co-owner of Weird Chicago Tours, who was contacted by Professor J. Michael Bailey. Melvoin-Berg discussed topics like sexual fetishism, orgasms, bondage and swinging.

But then Melvoin-Berg decided that there had been enough talking. He introduced Jim Marcus and fiancée Faith Kroll, who said they enjoy exhibitionism, the Daily Beast reports.

So is Bailey apologizing? Quite the contrary. He said that it is too early to decide whether the sex toy show was a mistake but that: "The students find the events to be quite valuable, typically, because engaging real people in conversation provides useful examples and extensions of concepts students learn about in traditional academic ways," Bailey said in a statement.

Time for the money quote:  'It is probably something I will remember for the rest of my life," said Northwestern senior Justin Smith.

Faith Kroll enjoyed the performance, calling it "amazing," on her Facebook page. However, Morton Schapiro, president of Northwestern University said he was "troubled and disappointed" by the incident and was launching an investigation.
