PA Man Injected Semen Into Co-Workers Yogurt, Gets 2 Years in Prison

Just when you thought the world couldn't get any worse, it does. Blame Joseph Bartorillo, the second man to admit that he put semen in yogurt before feeding it to innocent bystanders.

The Larksville, Penn. resident has pleaded guilty to federal charges of tampering with a consumer product. Over a 20-month period, he injected his semen into yogurt containers belonging to two female co-workers.

He admitted to doing this thirteen times.

Bartorillo's plea deal leaves him with a 2-year sentence and an undisclosed fine, reports the Times Leader. If convicted at trial, he could have faced up to 10 years and a $250,000 fine.

The local district attorney is also preparing state charges, according to the paper. Chances are those, too, will be subject to a plea deal. However, it will be impossible to divine the terms of that agreement until state charges have actually been filed.

Still, Joseph Bartorillo will probably serve more time than Anthony Garcia, the other man who recently sought amusement (pleasure?) in semen-tainted yogurt. Last month, the grocery worker pleaded guilty to putting semen in a female customer's yogurt sample. He faces up to 3 years in prison.

But while Garcia only faced federal charges, Bartorillo must still contend with state charges. He therefore can be held accountable for a number of other crimes, including food tampering, assault, battery and vandalism.

Semen-tainted yogurt is obviously a very serious crime. And one that seriously needs to stop. The semen-in-yogurt trend needs to end here, world. Please.
