Block on Trump's Asylum Ban Upheld by Supreme Court
It's just so hard to get good service these days. A Florida man was arrested after taking his money back from an escort.
Michael Thomas Schuster, 21, hired a professional female escort to dance for him in his bedroom. The Boynton Beach man claims he paid her $200, but wasn't satisfied with her performance, The Palm Beach Post reports.
So what does any reasonable person do when an escort doesn't live up to expectations?
Did you say steal her purse, drag her out of your apartment, and get into a screaming match with her from your apartment window? Congratulations, you think exactly like Schuster. Also, you might be a criminal.
Schuster allegedly then took back his money before throwing the escort's purse to the woman from his window.
Cops responded to the escort's complaint and charged Schuster with strong arm robbery and battery.
In Florida, strong arm robbery is also known as "robbery by sudden snatching." The offense is similar to a normal robbery, but requires no use of threats, weapons, or additional force beyond what's necessary to take the stolen object.
Strong arm robbery is a third degree felony in Florida. If Schuster is convicted he could face up to five years in prison, fines up to $5,000, or both. In addition, Florida law allows judges to give up to 10 years in prison to habitual offenders. Meaning if Schuster has a history of these types of crimes, he could be in some serious trouble.
Schuster has given differing accounts of the story since his arrest. Perhaps the only reliable fact here is that you should never try to get your money back from an escort. Just take the hit and give her a bad Yelp review.
