Block on Trump's Asylum Ban Upheld by Supreme Court
Here’s a future law job announcement from the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals has filled its Fall 2011 position for staff clerkships starting in August, but after Labor Day 2011, it will begin considering applications for the 2012-2014 clerkship program, according to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals website.

According to the 2011 job posting on the court's website:
"Staff law clerkships combine the intellectual rigor of a chambers clerkship with the benefits of working closely with all the judges of the Seventh Circuit, one of the most highly respected appeals courts in the country, on all phases of appellate litigation. Like traditional chambers clerks, the staff law clerks at the Seventh Circuit perform legal research, prepare bench memoranda, and draft merits disposition on a broad spectrum of cases subject to oral
argument at the Court, including some of the most controversial."
The main difference between the staff law clerkship and a chamber clerkship is that a staff law clerk will gain the opportunity to work with many judges instead of being assigned uniquely to one judge. The clerks attend weekly private conferences where three-judge panels deliberate cases that don't go through oral argument. The staff law clerks also help the judges resolve substantive motions that seek preliminary or emergency relief.
The 2011 clerkship required the candidates to be law school graduates with excellent academic credentials and preferably Law Review or moot court experience.
