Block on Trump's Asylum Ban Upheld by Supreme Court
When it comes to making business travel more fun, who better to ask than a pilot?
After all, pilots have their privileges. They may not disclose all of them, but First Class and the VIP lounge are givens.
Absent the super-secret list of fun things to do when traveling alone, however, here are some suggestions for lawyers:
Check Your Schedule
As long as you are going somewhere, schedule something fun into your itinerary. All work and no play makes Jack or Jill a dull and unproductive worker.
The trick is to do it before you take off. Time is precious on the go, and you want enough of it to go to your fun zone.
Get Some Exercise
So what do you enjoy more -- watching a sport or participating in one?
Even if you are not a gym rat, getting some exercise while on business is invigorating. Isn't that why the rat race means being "on the run"?
Save Your Money
The tax season may be over, but opportunities for next year's write-offs have arrived. Make sure you keep track of businesses expenses, and you'll have more fun in the future.
It's especially enjoyable when technology keeps track. Download your bank app for that, or take cell phone pictures of receipts for cash purchases.
Eat Well, Be Well
Thinking of eating out, traveling is a perfect time to find special places to dine. Take a cultural adventure, and find that hole-in-the-wall that only the locals know.
Of course, choose your food and drink wisely. Montezuma's Revenge is not a tourist attraction.
Destress for Success
Everybody knows stress is a killer. The business-traveler-lawyer is a triple threat.
So put down the laptop and watch a movie on your next flight. And if you are really planning ahead, ask the pilot or steward what's on the return flight.
