The tragic shooting of Danroy Henry, Jr., a student and football player at Pace University, has caused controversy as the investigation continues.

A wild party during Pace University's homecoming ended with Henry shot and killed by police last weekend. Police were surrounded by an unruly crowd when they approached Henry's car and the car tried to pull away. According to the family of Pace player Brandon Cox, a teammate, Danroy Henry thought police were telling him to move his car out of the fire lane. Henry was the designed driver that night and had no prior criminal record, ABC reports.

His attorney is asking anyone who has evidence to please preserve the evidence and come forward with it. Henry's family and their attorney are asking what happened, and have raised concerns about the amount of time it took the police to treat Henry. Police have denied reports that there was a delay in the time it took to treat Henry. Police say treatment began within three minutes of when he was shot.

"We don't want to make this a race issue. We just want the truth. We want the truth for our son," said Angela Henry, his mother. "We need to have the absolute truth," said Danroy Henry, Sr. "We need to somehow come to terms to this. We can't do that without knowing absolutely 100 percent what happened to our son, why he was killed."

Whatever happened, and however it happened, sadly we can't just go back in time. Seeking the truth is all that is left for anyone to do.
