Did Drunk US Skier Pee on Girl on a Plane or Not?

The internet was abuzz recently when it was reported that Robert "Sandy" Vietze, an up and coming U.S. skier, peed on a girl while flying between Portland and New York City.

Arrested for misdemeanor indecent exposure, it now appears as though the story wasn't quite right.

The family of his supposed 12-year-old victim has said that, while Vietze peed next to the girl's seat, he did not pee on her seat while she happened to be in it.

Unfortunately, this won't make that much of a difference.

Vietze, who is only 18 years of age, had reportedly had eight alcoholic beverages prior to boarding the plane, causing him to black out, reports The Oregonian.

He remembers the girl's father yelling at him while peeing in the middle of the aisle, but has no other recollection of the event.

Whether or not he peed on a girl is irrelevant to the misdemeanor charges, as he technically did expose himself on a plane mid-flight.

And being drunk won't get him out of the charges either, though it may lead to charges of underage drinking and disorderly conduct.

As for reports that Vietze was kicked off the U.S. Development Alpine Ski Team and may have put his 2014 Olympic bid in jeopardy, it appears as though the truth won't do him any good in that situation either.

Vietze was subject to the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association's code of conduct, which The Oregonian reports prohibits illegal use of alcohol.

Robert "Sandy" Vietze may not have peed on a girl, but he was remarkably (and illegally) drunk for an 18-year-old.
