Block on Trump's Asylum Ban Upheld by Supreme Court
Promising San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith had better stop his current trend of off-the-field issues, or he could find himself out of the NFL despite leading all rookies in sacks last year.
Since the end of his rookie year in January, Smith has already been involved in two criminal incidents. Early Saturday morning, Aldon Smith was reportedly stabbed at a party at his home that also involved two shootings.
The stabbing happened at a party at Aldon Smith's home in the hills east of San Jose, Calif. Police responded to a call of multiple gunshots. After arriving at the scene, the police found that two people were shot and one was stabbed, reports the San Francisco Chronicle. According to multiple sources, the victim of the stabbing was Smith.
All of the victims were taken to area hospitals and no life-threatening injuries were reported. The 49ers' general manager acknowledged that Smith was hurt at the party and described his injuries as "minor," reports the Chronicle.
Getting stabbed is not a crime, and Smith was not charged with doing anything illegal. However, just the fact that Smith's house party hosted more than 100 people with lots of alcohol flowing shows bad judgment by the young San Francisco 49er.
Smith should feel thankful that he was not more seriously hurt in the stabbing. Having escaped serious injury, Smith may want to take the stabbing as a lesson to clean up his act off the field, or at the very least avoid hanging out late at alcohol-fueled parties. Just five months ago, Smith was arrested for a DUI in Miami Beach.
The 49ers' Aldon Smith was stabbed at a party at his house. Police are still investigating the incident and there were no reports of anyone arrested or charged with a crime, yet.
