Block on Trump's Asylum Ban Upheld by Supreme Court
Some say that frogs, like lawyers, are insensitive to gradual change.
A frog apparently will sit in tepid water right up to the cooking point. Some attorneys don't recognize the world is changing around them until it's too late.
Fact or fiction, it's a new world. Maybe you didn't notice, but artificial intelligence is literally staring you in the face.
AI Is Everywhere
If your cell phone talks to you, that's artificial intelligence. If it recognizes your face, that's once-fictional technology gone mainstream.
Lawyers have seen it coming for years, but still lag behind in adapting to new technology. If the old practice model isn't broke, why fix it, right?
Cost, of course, is one
excuse reason. But there is another reason AI will kill off the traditional law practice. Make that 15 trillion reasons.
According to Forbes, AI will add $15 trillion to the world economy by 2030. If that seems distant, last year AI contributed $2 trillion to the global gross domestic product.
AI Heating Up
The problem for lawyers is those trillions are not going to them. AI will be taking those jobs.
Some law firms don't believe the numbers, but robots can already do 23 percent of their work. By the way, how did the dinosaurs go extinct?
Is it getting warm in here, or is that just global warming?
